Zyrio Kaiso
Tiger Moon Shifter

Freedom! Sweet, wonderful freedom! It was everything that he'd dreamed of during his imprisonment and more, as he stretched his powerful legs out to run as quickly as he could. The wind ruffled through his striped fur as fresh air gave him a heady feeling with each deep intake of air into his lungs. How he had missed having the ability to just run as he wished, to feel unfettered in his movement! There was no way that he would ever go back, not willingly, or unwillingly. Not to her, never again.

He ran until he could run no longer, slowing down to a lope, then a canter and finally stopping as he'd flop his large body down under the shade of a tree. With the shadows in the forested area that he was in, he would almost appear to be completely black from head to toe, but in reality, he was considered a Maltese in coloring. His fur was a dark grey-blue color with black stripes and a lighter grey-blue along his belly and paws. After a few moments of allowing his sides to rise and fall heavily to catch his breath, the tiger would stretch out his large body before lifting himself to a sitting position and glancing around with brilliant blue eyes.

The male tiger's scrutiny of the area would almost be paranoid like, almost as if he expected someone to jump out of the nearest bush at any random point. He shuddered at that thought. If she were to do that, he'd surely have a heart attack and keel over... which admittedly would be better then going back with her and what he'd prefer. Huffing out with a breath of frustration he'd also try to consider what to do next. Now that he had the pure exhilaration of being free out of his system, he had to think of what to do next. Hopefully something that wouldn't draw a lot of attention considering that he was a tiger currently, and one with a silver collar circling about his neck, with a short length of broken chain hanging from it.

He'd still be undecided when the scent of cooking food wafted over to his large nose, which he lifted to the air in order to inhale the delicious aromas. His mouth practically watered. Licking his chops, he immediately got to all fours and set off straight for it. Although he knew that cooking food meant people, he was too hungry to avoid it, and he'd just have to play it carefully. So with only the soft jingle of his broken chain accompanying him he'd make his way to the source of the smells.

Shortly after, he'd find what looked like a festival going on, as he peered out from behind a thicket of bushes to the event. People were milling about, finishing setting up in some places and chatting in others. There were some early festival goers it seemed as some people were already looking over merchant's wares and laughing, just enjoying the warm evening that was settling in. The sights, and smells would cause him to smile sadly mentally to himself, as it'd bring back memories of his father. Of when he'd take him to the festivals, buying him treats and little toys when he was a kid. And when it was time for the fireworks, he'd always let him sit on his shoulders when he'd been light enough in order to get one of the best views. Those days were long gone now, and he missed them... but there was nothing he could do about it.

After shaking himself out of his memories, he flicked his tail as he began to stalk through the bushes, ears twitching this way and that as he took in the sounds of those around him. Stopping now and then, he'd listen, and watch, at least until he got to where the buffet table was, laden with meats and other delicious foods. For now however he'd only sit behind the bushes, as he'd peer the best he could to see if there was anyone there.

Arza
Banished Demi Sun God

He listened to the gentle patter of rubber soles of shoes alike hitting the pavement of the street, as wonderful and bright colours were streamed all along the street in a glorious haven. Everything around him was very vivid as he flicked his tail back and forth out of habit. The large red scarf trailed lightly behind him as he let his golden eyes gather around the sight of all the people.

Taking in the grand spectacle of all the people enjoying the first day of spring was honestly a wonderful sight to behold.

Droopy brown ears curved back and forth listening to conversations and the festival all around him as he could smell the sweet mixture of flowers, incense and food.

Moving along the street, he would slowly work his way around to the buffet table just sort of gauging where everything was. The buffet was almost the center of the entire festival, which would be a good place to get a feel of how large the place was.

he had no idea about a tiger moving in amongst the table nor would he know what he should be acting like. it wasnt like he was familiar with the mortal races yet. He had only been on the neo plain for the past year, certainly not enough time to learn how to behave like a mortal instead of a demi lord.

His brown hair hung in his face as his shadow was elongated with the pair of cream horns upon his head as they jutted upwards in a slow spiral.

The Stage sat behind the buffet tables as people were still trying to decorate it in hopes for the evening, as he turned his back towards the stage to look outwards to the large scene of numerous different species of people. Men, women and children alike of all walks of life.

His long bull like tail continued to flick and snap behind him as he crossed his arms over his strong frame. He wasn't a small being at all, but at least he didnt stand out here. He blended into the crowd about as easily as anyone else.

Arza stood quietly close to the buffet as he milled his eyes over the assorted people and merchant kiosks.

Cora Dicour
Albino Faun

She cupped a hand over her eyes as to shade them from the bright gleaming glow of the sun. She had attendant the festival in the last few years, but it seemed like every year it just got bigger and far more expansive than prior.

Her eyes look over so many faces as she worked tiredly at her kiosk with three others. Though she was the highest on the food chain here, she turned to look at the gaze of her employees, as she excused herself to being wandering around.

She soon found herself looking up to immense stage being built that later would be holding many performances that would thrill anyones senses. Even when some would bomb, others would pick up the pace and fill it in.

Crossing her arms over her chest, her deep blue eyes looked around the expanse as she side glanced a rather tall, strongly built male satyr. He was curious that much was for sure, but she would soon find out that not even the tall satyr would be the most curious thing that would happen today. The idea that a fully grown male tiger was around, Cora would have easily kept her distance at first.

Zyrio Kaiso
Tiger Moon Shifter

Zyrio waited the best that he could, but it would turn out that his patience was a lot more limited then he had initially thought that it could be. The smells of the delicious food made his stomach growl and complain at him, causing him to wish it to shut up since it wasn't exactly his fault that he hadn't eaten anything good in a long while. His body held the signs of starvation with the way that his flesh around his ribs clung to show off his ribs through his thick blue-grey pelt.

Unable to keep himself from waiting anymore, what with freshly cooked meat laying just beyond the bushes that he was hiding in, he'd slink through the bushes and straight up to the table that was set up with such great morsels. Luckily for him, a corner of the table sat near to the bushes with a rather large portion of meat that he'd snatch quickly and darted back into the bushes, his passing only causing a rustling of bushes and slight clanking of chains in the way of sound. He didn't really think about whether or not anyone would notice the meat missing, but he would get at least lucky enough that none of those easily panicked had noticed him... yet.

The meat that he'd taken would be gone in only a few bites, since it'd been nothing all that large in comparison to the size of a tiger's mouth, his razor sharp teeth tearing out chunks with ease. But he'd be left hungry since his body of course required more to be fully fed... and that meant having to leave his current hiding spot again. And from what he could see, there was no meat all that close to him... but if he adjusted the angle there was some near an edge.... Licking his chops he moved slowly through the bushes until he stood in direct line with the meat that he was eyeing.

Not paying as much attention as he surely should have, he would crouch and crept his way out of the leafy shadows towards the table. To some it may have been an amusing sight to see a large feline with his front half pressed close to the ground, and his haunches only slightly raised so he could propel himself forward. But for Zyrio, he was completely serious in his efforts to remain unseen. Unfortunately he hadn't really taken the time to notice the large horned male that stood near to where he'd emerged.

When he reached the table, his large paws would come up onto it as he moved his head forward to grasp the large ham in his mouth, sinking fangs in tightly. It'd be just as he was about to slink back that his brilliant blue eyes landed on the male standing basically beside him. Zyrio swore at himself mentally for being blind enough to miss him, as he froze, his eyes widening.

It'd be then that a loud scream echoed through the area, as a woman nearby had looked at the right time to see the silver collared tiger in the midst of his attempt at thieving a meal. His eyes snapped to her as she pointed straight at him, screamed the word, 'Tiger!' and took off running.

'Busted,' He thought to himself with a huff as people began panicking immediately. Now he was surely in for it... or maybe it was for the best? He might have a chance at the table all he wanted, if he could eat quickly enough before anyone came for him. The biggest possible threat stood beside him at the moment, anyways. If he left, Zyrio would have no problems. So although he showed no sign of aggression, he turned his eyes to Azra again, watching him intently to see what he would do, while he crouched down and started on the ham.

The screams of the woman pierced his ears as he whipped his head towards the source of the screaming. His eyes widened at the large tiger with the hunch of meat within its massive jaw. People began to stamped all over the place as he found himself watching the sway of a silver chain swinging back and forth from the momentum of the tigers neck as it was clear there was a collar on it. Did it just escape from the zoo or something or the circus?

Twisting his body to stand face to face with the tiger, Arza spread his stance as he stiffened his body to watch. He wasn't sure what to really do, what could he do without looking like a complete moron? Sure if he was his normal self, maybe this wouldnt be an issue, but he was as mortal as everyone else. He would have to be crazy to try and do something about it.

Slowly he twisted his feet to walk in a half circle as his attention looked over the concaved chest portraying it hadn't eaten in a very long time. There was no way an animal in zoo or circus care could look like that... could it?

Holding a hand out, Arza's attention began to drift as he realized it wasnt just him and the tiger.

A young faun was close to them as well, his attention drifted to look at her. She was a certainly curious woman, he had seen fauns before but she wasnt like the ones he had seen. She was dark in colour and fair in complexion making those blue eyes stand out and those deep red lips.

Arza gritted his teeth as he darted his look back and forth between the tiger and the woman faun. He retained a little of his previous state but it honestly wouldnt make a difference to a tiger.

He just hoped and prayed that the tiger didnt decide live prey was better than something that was cooked.

"What on earth?" her voice came out across the trampling people as they screamed and hollered all around her making her ears ring.

It wasnt until she glanced to her side that she felt the rise of fear come up into her throat. There was no possible way that a there was a tiger standing there at the buffet table. The idea of it was entirely crazy, and was a good way of making sure the festival ended with a new bang.

Cora seen the tall satyr looking back to her as she realized that they were the last two people in the entire festival.

Sucking in a breath, Cora stiffened her stance as she turned to directly walk towards the tall satyr male. Her ears caught the sound of clinking chain making her eyes fall to the chain that hung around a collar from the tigers neck.

Her body lined up to the male satyr as she put her hands around herself. She was afraid but she also knew she couldnt let the fear over take her either. Looking up to those deep golden irises of the male satyr, Cora let her eyes fall to the tiger not sure what was going to happen.

"What away to end the festival when it just started." she pointed to the tiger, "How do we deal with that, though... who collars a tiger?" Cora spoke to the male satyr. "Actually what is a tiger doing out here anyways?"

She could only wonder what to do about the tiger. "Maybe we should leave as well, hopefully it wouldnt try to follow us."

Cora reached out to grab a hold of the wrist of the satyr, "Come with me, i've got a bakery shop a few blocks from here." she offered to the male not really sure how to access the situation of the tiger. she felt bad to an animal being chained but what could the do? It wasnt like they could just save the animal, it did crash the festival... but there was something that still seemed off about this all.

As the satyr changed his positioning to stand face to face with him, Zyrio would blink up at him from his crouched position, already mostly finished the ham. Stopping a moment, he considered him, but he didn't seem to have the intent to try and stop him from eating, so he'd go back to consuming the food. Although he had to say the screaming of people running from him certainly was not conducive to pleasant dining, as his ears folded back at the sounds of those panicking.

Finished again, he glanced to the buffet table, considering going for it again, but now there was a horned woman... a faun it seemed, that had joined the horned male. And they were both watching him. Sitting up with his haunches still planted on the ground he considered them as they considered him, the brilliant hues of his eyes betraying the intelligence that lay behind them. Although when Cora made mention of the festival ending because of him, Zyrio did feel a stab of guilt, causing him to lower his head, and tilt his ears back.

Honestly, he didn't like being the cause to the end of people's fun, but he'd been so hungry there was just no way around it. If only none had noticed him being there. That would've been ideal. But he couldn't change what had already happened and could only deal with what was going on now. Sighing heavily the tiger would lay his mass on the ground, showing he intended no harm to either people in front of him, laying his head down on his paws as he looked up at them.

To his senses, he could tell the fear radiating from the female, something he had to admire that she overcame to try and... well he wasn't sure what she was doing, maybe thinking she was saving the male who hadn't run like everyone else. But it was admirable, nonetheless. His striped tail swept across the ground as he kept himself lowered, studying them. Whenever either of them spoke, it wouldn't be difficult to tell that he was at least following the ongoing conversation as his eyes slid from one to the other, and his ears tilted in their direction. But beyond that he really wouldn't move much.

Feeling the young faun reach out to try to pull him away, Arza's ears flitted to alert and curiosity. Why on earth would she think that they could be in trouble.

Removing his hand from her grasp, Arza raised an eyebrow to her. Turning his gaze some, he noted how the tiger was watching them those alarming blues gauging them both with a clear intelligance. Erecting and squaring his shoulders, Arza pointed to the tiger. "I don't honestly think we have much to fear, look at its body language." his voice was strong, almost thunderous as it clearly didn't match the way he looked. How the mass of the tigers bulk had been laid down to the ground, its head lying down on its paws, it almost made him wonder further.

Stepping closer towards the alarming beast, Arza still cautiously moved in a slow circle around the beast. Just because it seemed to be docile at the moment didnt mean anything. In the contest of strength him and the faun would be easy to destroy.

Giving the tail of his a hard flick showing his uneasy nature, Arza crouched down. "It's almost like the beast has been domesticated. I mean..." Arza glanced to the woman, "You watch giant cats like this in the circus and they are usually pretty calm but still you dont get them backing down first. Its clear the cat is hungry and isnt interested in fast food, otherwise," Arza pointed towards the now disappeared crowd. "I think someone in the gaggle would have been its main course, not to say we aren't next."

It bothered him to see how acutely intelligant the cat was. Animals were smart in general but usually within there own abilities. This big cat was paying attention with such precision that it was startling. Wouldnt a normal cat still be watching while they busied themselves with whatever was around them. The cat was surrounded by food and yet it was watching them.

His fingers touched the ground as he crouched there. "Is it illegal to have a tiger as a pet? Would explain the collar unless someone was using the beast as an experiment?" he was just throwing guesses out there, not knowing the tiger was a shifter trapped in a hold of some woman that was unseen for the time being.

"I think it might be a good idea just to get the tiger out of sight," Arza looked to the black faun, "You said you have a shop around here?"

Cora blinked at the male as he pulled himself away from her. She was just trying to help as she tossed an eye over to the tiger. It seemed content in itself not really thinking of them either as a threat, wouldn’t that be the best time to leave the scene? I mean wouldn’t it look funny for them both to be standing here while the massive stripped animal was all happy? Police might even think they were the ones who let the cat go to reek havoc.

She blinked at the tall satyr as the proud proper thundering voice came up from his chest. It was honestly not the type of voice she would think could come from him. She figured it would be a strong voice but not the kind that seemed like it could command the stars themselves. Out of anxious fear, she flinched slightly from him.

“How can you say there isn’t anything to fear!” Cora opened a flat palm directing at the feline. “That is a really big carnivore that just finished devouring half a pig’s ass!” Cora pointed out, “That is not an animal you want to train to use the litter box. We need to leave, we should have left in the crowd as well. Do you realize we will be the ones seen as the morons here letting the beast out.”

Cora let out a sigh as the man didn’t even seem to listen to her. Though her ears flicked at him saying it looked like the tiger had been domesticated. “Oh like that is a good idea. Shouldn’t PETA be dealing with that then? Last time I check, I am a homely bakery, not animal control.”

Cora pursed her lips together tightly as she tried to make herself slink slowly towards the satyr. Certainly if the tiger was still hungry it would like to chew on the large satyr rather than her. Plus if they needed to run, all she had to do was be faster than the male. If he fell behind then she was in the clear. It was cruel to think such things, but she had her own life to worry about.

Slinking herself to stand behind the crouching man, she fiddled nervously with her apron as he posed the question to her. “I think if you have a license of the exotic nature you can, but I think there are regulations. Allowing the pet to run around I am thinking is a big no no.” Cora spoke, as she didn’t even want to think about someone using an animal as an experiment. That was harsh and cruel on so many different levels.

Cora froze in her tracks as the golden irises looked to her, probing her. “What, yeah I own a bakery… wait a minute…” Cora lurched forward, her fists tight. “You are not using my shop to hide that thing! That is a man eater! I don’t think in my lease agreement it says I can hide large animals in there. Plus he is obviously unsanitary. The health department would be all over me!”

She reached out as she knocked on the guys head. “Look I know you are trying to help the poor wittle kitten, but don’t you even think about it. I mean…” Cora sighed, “I want to help a little too, but really my shop is the best you can come up with. What happens if it eats what I have baked there, then what? You are going to clean it up?”

After a little bickering, Cora tossed her hair back as she crossed her arms over her chest. It would seem that the male had won. That is if the tiger was willing to let them escort it back to the bake shop. That would be a whole new problem.

Looking to the odd satyr then to the tiger, she could only wonder why the man wanted to help the beast anyways. It was just a beast… wasn’t it?

“Alright so how are we going to get that towards the shop anyways.” She stopped as she bent down to crouch beside him. “By the way, I am Cora. Today I’ll be your partner in crime.” She replied dryly.

As he watched them, Zyrio would be fairly surprised at the voice that came from the large satyr as he pointed at him and spoke. Certainly not a type of voice one often heard, considering how it was enough to get him to take notice. Although he'd certainly still be slightly impressed that the female was sticking around, as he looked to her when she spoke.

Being circled, he'd let out a huff as he kept his eye on Arza, his tail flickering lightly. Watching him as he spoke to Cora he'd lower his ears sadly at the mention of those running away, as it reminded him that he had ruined a festival. And as much as he'd rather have been going at the meat on the table, he had a feeling, paying attention to these two right now was much better in his interests. Although the female seemed much more interested in washing her hands of him. As soon as the words animal control were spoken, the tiger cringed.

For the love of all that was decent, he couldn't let animal control get their hands on him! Those people would just return him to the place he'd just escaped. That woman had them under her spell or something. If they hadn't done anything about the fact that she 'owned' a tiger, when he'd managed to get animal control called on her from the noise he'd caused, he doubted they wouldn't hesitate to return him to her. His punishment that time had been bad enough, he couldn't imagine what she'd do to him for running away. Just thinking about it would cause his ears to flatten against his skull as his tail curled down against himself.

At the collar being mentioned Zyrio snorted in disgust, he hated the thing. If it wasn't for the damned collar he'd at least be able to have taken his humanoid form and not have ruined a day for people and gotten to eat in peace. The damn accursed thing and that damned woman who was the bane of his existence...

When Arza mentioned getting him out of sight, he would blink in surprise as he lifted his head and perked up his ears. He was willing to help him? Perhaps there was hope after all... Or not? The woman really seemed opposed to the idea. At being called 'thing' and 'man eater' he flinched as his ears lowered sadly and his head went back to resting on his paws. And although perhaps it was unfair of him to do so, his thoughts went to unfavorable towards her, as he snorted. Typical woman, acting in her best interests only...

Though when she'd seem to give in to the idea, he'd be surprised, moving his surprised blue orbs to her again. Maybe she wasn't so bad after all... not that he had much faith for that, but perhaps she wasn't as cruel as most. As for when she asked about getting him towards the shop, he'd push his upper half up as he went to a sitting position, his haunches still planted on the ground as he watched them with an expectant expression. Tilting his head, it'd almost look as if he was asking when they were going to get going.

If either one of them beckoned him towards the shop, they'd find that he reacted with easy understanding as he lifted his hind legs off the ground and padded along in the direction that he was told to go in.

Furrowing his brow at the woman who introduced herself to him as his current partner in crime, Arza let out a bit of a sigh with a nod. “Arza.” He replied with his name casually.

“I would like just to mention, that large animal you called a man eater, did no such thing. If you would recall miss Cora, it went for something already dead. It didn’t attack no one, so many it would be wise not to assume the large cat is so terrible.”

The movement of the cat caught his attention as he watched with great awe of it seeming to be ready at there beck and call. Arza narrowed an eye questionably, there was no doubt, this was not a normal beast nor tiger. But it wasn’t like he had proof of this, other than a hunch of its intelligent behaviour.

He pushed himself up off the ground with a grunt, as he carefully turned his back to the animal. There was still caution with him even if the big cat was intelligent to a humanoid stand point.

“Is there a way we can transport the tiger without walking it along the streets?” Arza would question the young woman.

He would give a bit of a curt hand gesture to beckon the tiger to begin following them. “I promise miss Cora, whatever does happen I will see too it that you hold no blame for it. But there is something certainly wrong with this entire picture. Did you not hear the snort that came from our large friend here when you mentioned the collar? I am curious to see if perhaps we should not attempt removing it?” Arza tossed an eye downwards to the cat, “With precaution of course.”

Cora gave a snort to Arza introducing himself to her. “So your parents are religious then.” She rolled her eyes, “I don’t mean to be rude, but everyone now a days are calling there kids after the apparent gods.” She air quoted when she said gods. Her faith was lacking highly as she didn’t honestly believe there were such things called the Neo Plain and the Astral Plain. It went completely against her fathers beliefs as he was a Historian of Myths. So she often had arguments with her father about the existence of great beings.

When Arza would make mention of her calling the massive creature a man eater, she crossed her arms over her chest. “Hey I’ll give the cat some credit, but if he starts gnawing on your leg, don’t get mad if I say told you so.” Cora looked over the waiting cat, as she clicked her tongue. “Smart isn’t he? He seems like he is waiting for us?” she spoke more of a statement than a question.

Turning with Arza as he spoke about moving the tiger without walking the streets, Cora sighed. “I don’t know why I am doing this, maybe I am just way too much of a push over.” She put the palm of her hand to her forehead. “I have my truck here, if we can load up some stuff into the back first from my kiosk then the kitty can ride in the extended cab. That way we don’t have to explain we are taking our tiger out for a walk.”

Leading the group towards the kiosk, Cora shrugged at Arza as he mentioned the cat and the collar. “Sorry I don’t pay that much attention. I mean who ever the moron was that collared the poor guy needs a good beat down, but again not my place to say. But if you want to try something at the shop, I’ll help you.”

She finally let a warmer smile spread across her face, “I can honestly say this is not how I expected to end my day. Uh Arza,” she looked up to him and then behind him to see if the tiger was actually following them. “I mean I am all for helping the tiger but after we get to the shop… then what? Its not like we can keep the guy, I don’t think I am even allowed pets at my apartment. Isn’t someone going to come looking for him?” she posed the question with a knitted brow, “Though I hope the person who owns him comes to grab him when he is with us in my shop still. I should knock them around, keeping a wild animal from there homestead, how cruel can you get. That person is a jackass.”

The kiosk looked almost untouched as she sighed some at seeing most of the product left behind as she shrugged some as she opened a hand to the tray of buttertart squares. “Well if you want, have some.” She offered.

Having Arza stand up for him by pointing out that he hadn't tried to go for anyone would surprise him again, finding the gesture very unexpected. Zyrio would nod his head in agreement, when it was pointed out that he had gone for something dead. He wouldn't ever go for anything with real intelligence, even if they weren't of the same race as to him it would feel like some form of cannabalism, and he was definitely not one.

Although when Cora retorted back about Arza about what she'd say if he started gnawing on him, Zyrio would be amused, flickering his ears as he made the equivalent sound to a tiger chuckling.

Watching them discuss him further, he'd keep pace easily with his flowing, graceful steps. Hearing Arza make his promise to Cora to make sure she wasn't to be blamed for any of the situation, his ears drooped a little as that thought came to mind for the first time. Even if he wasn't sure about the woman's overall nature, he didn't want her to get in trouble, and the same of course went for the man. They were helping him so far, so he hoped that he wouldn't bring them trouble.

When Arza mentioned removing the collar, his eyes immediately snapped over to him, his entire demeanor perking up as his tail whipped lightly behind himself. Clearly Zyrio was pleased at the idea of the collar being removed. And when Cora offered her help to, she certainly went up in his opinion. Even if she thought she was simply taking a collar off of a wild animal, the both of them would be doing him a great favor. And although it embarrassed him slightly, he couldn't help himself as he'd begin to rumble with a light tiger's purr. The idea of being completely free was too pleasing to hide it.

Tilting his ears towards her when she was speaking about the jackass who'd collared him, he'd snort again slightly. Jackass didn't even begin to cover what the woman who'd collared him was. And as much as he would love to see her get beat down, he hoped she wouldn't show up. He didn't know what the two of them were capable of, but he did not want to think of what would happen to them if they weren't able to stand against her and her magic.

As soon as they got to the kiosk, Zyrio would try to be considerate as he ducked behind an area that he wouldn't be able to be seen from outside. Keeping his tail still, curled around himself he'd watch the two of them to see what they did next.

Arza found Cora utterly intriguing. She honestly was unlike any faun he had ever met before, she was very frontal and very honest with her answers.

Watching Cora offering something out to him, he politely shook his head. He would do as she commanded about loading up whatever to her truck until it would appear they were ready.

It honestly wouldnt take long, as there really wasnt much that seemed like it could go with them. Everyone else had left things behind, it might look a bit weird if one kiosk was totally cleaned up.

Glancing down to the large male coiled up neatly and waiting patiently, Arza raised a brow to him.

He would kneel down to the cat, his hand outstretched calmly and cautiously to the cat. He glanced about to see if Cora had left to go to her truck again.

When he was certain the coast was clear, Arza let a smirk spread over his face. "I dont know what you did to be condemned to that atrocious collar, and you may fool anyone else around here, even Cora. But you are not what you seem, are you?" his voice was low, "I dont know what you are, but i am very certain with your intelligence that what i see isn't the truth."

If the tiger allowed him, Arza would take a ginger hold of the collar looking over it. What seemed simple enough may prove far more difficult, he knew better than to judge it as a simple locked collar, there could be more too it. Arza let out a gentle hum, "When we get to miss Cora's shop and in all hopes if we can remove this blasted contraption from you, then perhaps you can explain yourself."

Arza would release the collar as he dropped the palm of his hand to the crown of the tigers head, sort of petting him. "I must say i do understand your predicament my friend."

he rose to his feet when he heard Cora returning as he would give his attention to her fully.

"Are we ready miss Cora?"

As Arza helped her load the equipment for her bakery that she brought down here to the truck, she would wipe her brow before looking down to the tiger. Watching it waiting so calmly made her smile.

"Okay you are way better than i would have thought." Cora bent at her waist as she hoped to god she wouldn't be pulling back a bloody stump of a hand as she reached out to stroke the fine silky pelt of the large cat. "Alright i'll admit it, i let animal planet skew my thoughts about big cats." she chittered softly to the animal thinking it really didnt understand her.

She would straighten herself out as she looked down to the parking lot. "Okay Arza i'll bring the truck down here so we can load up our feline friend here without looking crazy."

She had no idea when she walked away that Arza was having a private conversation with the tiger, in truth if she seen it, she would have thought him completely mad. That was still up for debate though.

It took at least a couple minutes for her to weave herself efficiently to back the truck up to the kiosk as she unlocked the doors. drumming her hand against the steering wheel of her large truck, Cora jumped out of the running vehicle to walk around to the passenger side back door.

Opening it like a valet would for a celebrity, she smiled to the tiger. "Time for a ride kitten." she spoke far more sweetly than prior. "We will make sure you are safe alright."

If and when the tiger jumped into the back of the cab of her truck, she would shut the door gently but with enough force to make sure the tumblers clicked closed before she turned to look up at Arza. God he was tall, it honestly dwarfed her. She wasnt exactly amazon height, but she didnt think she was short either. In his presence that could have been misleading.

"If you wish to join me, hop in Arza." she pointed towards the passenger door of the front of the cab.

When Arza entered, she would job around to the drivers side as she slipped into the seat. Looking at the oddity of her passengers, Cora shrugged some before she clicked her seat belt. "I'll make this as smooth as possible for all passengers." she giggled lightly.

The bakery was about a fifteen minute walk, so five minute drive as she pulled around to the backside of the brick building. Backing up the truck so it the gear in the box of the truck could be unloaded easily, Cora parked the truck and pulled the keys from the ignition.

She moved quickly to unlock the back door of the store, as she opened the door for the tiger to slink out of. "Just go on inside," she spoke to the tiger as she turned her attention to Arza. If he hadnt gone in yet, she would request his help with the bit of gear to get it inside.

Again unloading was quick easy and simple. When they finished and Arza was inside with herself and the tiger, she locked the back door again. The kitchen was large as the massive oven stood against the south wall, beside her proofer as she moved efficently along the walls to turn on the kitchen light.

The long wooden table stood in the middle of the floor as she seen her staff here had cleaned it recently.

Tussling her hair, she moved herself around the pair of odd companions to wash her hands at the sink.

"Well we are here, do you want anything to drink Arza?" she offered, "Then you can take a look at that collar." Cora glanced down to the feline in her shop. "Suppose you are thirsty as well." she would reach up to the shelf that hung over the skin as she grabbed a hold of a fair sized metal bowl. She would fill it with cool water as she set it to the floor.

When Arza told her if he wanted something to drink, she would either fetch it or just grab herself a pop from the cooler up front.

She would lean against the wooden table as she looked at them with a point. "How are you going to get that off anyways, doesnt it need a key?"

When Cora spoke to him, he'd meet her eyes, and although he wouldn't seem to extend any friendliness, neither did he seem bothered by her. Althought, at being pet, he'd seem a bit taken off guard at the gesture, but neither offended. Maybe a tad uncomfortable, but not overly considering it was still a pleasant sensation when in his animal forms.

When Arza turned his eye to him, Zyrio would look up to him with those bright blue eyes of his, watching as he kneeled down in front of him and outstretched his hand to him. Looking down to the hand, and then back to his face, he stayed where he was as he tilted his head slightly. His eyes would hold surprise however at the words spoken to him as he blinked at Arza. Although he wasn't trying to fool anyone, since he couldn't help that he had no manner of speaking for the moment, he wouldn't be able to correct that. But when the question of not being what he seemed was posed, Zyrio would shake his head no in answer.

When Arza went to touch the collar, he'd bend his head to the side, giving him silent permission to inspect the metallic binding about his neck. Although it did have a lock mechanism as part of it, it also had a magical quality to it that was fairly basic, but still there to make sure that Zyrio himself couldn't get it off. At the mention of explaining himself once the collar was removed, he'd nod his head. And when Arza mentioned understanding his predicament, he would turn a questioning look to the large male.

When Cora came back with the truck, he'd moved smoothly over, leaping into the back where she'd opened the door for him. Once he was inside and she'd closed the door firmly behind him, not at all startled by the sound of it closing, he'd settle himself down on his belly on the floor since that'd be safest for him and also made it harder for him to be seen if anyone were to look in.

Thankful for the short ride to the bakery, he'd nod his head to Cora when she'd opened the door for him and said to go on inside. His ears flickering cautiously he padded into the kitchen, listening for signs of life either then themselves. But catching no one else, he'd be able to relax at least, letting out a heavy sigh as he'd sit himself out of people's way, and watched the other two as they moved about.

At hearing her mention being thirsty, he looked to her, watching as she pulled down the metal bowl to fill with water for him. Blinking, he was surprised further at her thoughtfulness, to which he'd bow his head to her, almost as if he was thanking her. Lifting himself up, he padded over to the bowl before proceeding to lap at the water with relief. He hadn't realized just how thirsty he was, but he had done a lot of running after all. In no time pretty much, the water would be completely gone.

When the subject turned to the collar again, Zyrio turned his attention back to them as his tail made slow sweeping archs across the floor in an idle manner, his eyes following the conversation again.

Arza had a feeling the tiger was a brilliant mind but how it reacted to him just proved it.

When they were standing inside the bakery and he noted the kindness of Cora to the lumbering beast, he smiled somewhat. She was a hard character on the outer shell, but it appeared she was very gently otherwise. He hadnt taken a drink from Cora but rather held his eyes to study the tiger as Cora asked how he was going to get the collar off.

"it is a locking mech so i am thinking a little fiddling and a lot of luck could unlock it. I wouldnt hold my breath but it would be better than just bashing it with the animal still held within it." Didnt meant he didnt think of the possibilities of something else holding it together on the animals neck.

Though it was already clear that Cora didnt believe in the supernatural aspects of life as she made the gods seem illusionary with the comment on his name about being named after the gods. He had to stifle a scoff at that point. He wasnt being named after the gods, but rather the mortals were named after him. But that was something he had to keep to himself.

Adjusting the red scarf around his neck, Arza hummed some trying to think of a better way to remove the collar.

"Miss Cora, do you have anything that could maybe pick the lock?" Arza didnt think that would work, but they had to do something. There was a reason why this male beast was collared and a bigger reason why it was running around. Be it good or bad he couldnt tell, but there was something that just told him he had to do something to help.

If he could fix his own situation he would, but unlike their friend he had no shackles tying him down. Not at least in the see-able sense.

If and when Cora gave him something to work with, Arza frowned some. "I really have no idea what i am doing but i suppose it is better than nothing," he looked over the tiger as he crouched down to him. Shifting the collar so he could see the lock full on, he carefully inserted the thin tools into it and hoped that it would come off. Though he still didnt have much faith with that.

Cora blinked at the satyr as he asked her for something to pick the lock with. "Not a lock smith shop Arza, but i guess i can find something. I still am not sure what we are going to do with the guy when and if we get that damn thing off." she restated, "Honestly it isnt like either one of us can bring home a six hundred pound cat. I dont know where you live, but i think my landlord may know something is up. I dont know if tigers like to chase things, but with how many things i have around, i think he would go after something."

Cora bent down to scoop up the bowl and put more water in. "I hope you dont have to pee anytime soon, i dont think i have anywhere you can just go and do your business." she spoke as she set down the metal bowl again.

She would move along to grab her tools of her trade as she rummaged through to find the long metal solid and thin turners for the donuts when they were in the oil to fry. She would hand then to Arza in hopes that they would work.

She would sit down on the floor as it had been washed that afternoon watching Arza take a hold of the collar and begin working at it.

Putting her chin into her hands, Cora let out a sigh. "I just cant get over how terrible it is too see such a animal bound by a collar. I mean i think every kid thinks it would be cool to have a wild animal as a pet, but who actually does that? Other than crazy people." Cora opened a palm as she listened to Arza working on the collar.

"I hope we can help this... uh big guy."

Zyrio would be glad when Arza came to the conclusion of trying to pick the lock rather then bashing it, he didn't think he'd like having someone trying to bash it while he was contained. It'd probably hurt quite a bit. The fact they were willing to try already had him feeling grateful to them both, since it was spelled to make sure that Zy himself couldn't get the thing off through his own actions. But it would do nothing to stop someone else.

Watching as Cora took the bowl and refilled it for him, Zyrio nodded again to her before he lapped at the water slower this time, taking his time to savor the cool liquid, while he kept an ear perked towards them. Listening as Cora retrieved the tools that they were going to try to use to pick the lock, he'd lift his eyes to Arza when he came and crouched down beside him to fiddle with the lock. Sitting completely still so that he wouldn't cause any slips, he gave a sigh, hoping that it would be successful. His tail flickered as his keen ears listened soft clinking of the tools together.

It would take a little bit, but if Arza continued trying to pick the lock, there eventually would be a little click as the lock would become unlocked. At first he was a bit surprised at how easily the lock was dealt with, but on the other hand, not so much, as she'd probably not worried about making it complicated because it wasn't like Zyrio himself could unlock it and she was one an overconfident type, who probably never thought that he'd manage to break the chain. But she'd also underestimated his desire to get free.

Once Arza had removed his collar, Zyrio would be ecstatic, as he'd stand up to all fours and shook out his fur as he waited the short moment it would take for him to calm himself enough as he closed his eyes and concentrated. And right before their eyes, the dark grey-blue tiger would begin to shift, his body changing until sitting in his place would be a man with striped cat ears and tail, colors matching the coat of the tiger. Climbing to his feet from having been sitting on the floor he'd stretch out his limbs, as the same brilliant blue eyes looked to Arza and Cora from behind a pair of square framed glasses. He was wearing a light green shirt that clung to the curves of his muslced chest but cut off at his shoulders, and a pair of rather generic blue jeans. Blue and blue-grey hair fell down along his shoulders, causing him to frustratedly blow at the hair hanging in his face. Lifting a hand he combed back his long hair from his face as a thankful smile curled the mans lips.

"Thank you both for your help, I was afraid I was going to be stuck in that collar for the rest of my natural life. It's so good to be free of that accursed thing finally!" Zyrio spoke with a gentle laughing voice as he thanked them. His voice wasn't overly deep but definitely was one of a nice depth and light playful lilt to the cadence of his speech. Bright blue eyes sparkled happily as he'd stretch out again, working little kinks out of his humanoid muscles.

"By the way, my name's Zyrio, it's nice to meet you both!"

As he worked, he couldnt deny the annoyance he was beginning to feel at working over the collar. Though Cora did keep the conversation moving along making him less frustrated over all. When the collar's tumblers clicked and it fell away, he was rather impressed with himself.

Reaching down to grab the collar, Arza watched as the tiger shook out its fur as it seemed very grateful and relieved to have it off.

What happened next though was still something odd and spectacular all at once. He could say it was unexpected but at the same time it wasn't. he knew there was something unusual about the tiger.

Seeing the tiger become a tall fit man, Arza's expression remained calm and neutral, a basic look for him. It was honestly rare that he would show more emotion. It happened but not very often. Arza crossed his arms over his strong chest as he looked over the man. "I am pleased to help," he stated clearly, his own voice still heavy and strong in him. "But that only raises questions to as why a man was contained in the form of a large cat." Arza turned to look over Cora.

This was most likely more than she would have ever expected. The way she spoke about the gods earlier pointed out that she had a firm disbelief in magic or anything along those lines. But it was hard to go against what clearly happened before there eyes.

Arza gave a stern flick of his tail as Zyrio introduced himself as he gave a tip of his head. "Zyrio is it? Name sounds foreign." Arza stated clearly, he knew the planet somewhat well, Zyrio's seemed distant from far off lands. In the neo plain he understood there were many creatures of all kinds, but on the main land there werent nearly as many. Zyrio seemed and appeared like he didnt belong here. "What will you do now that you are freed?" Arza questioned boldly.

She watched Arza with curiosity as he worked on the collar without complaint which she was rather impressed with. Any other person may have given up but then again there was something odd about Arza. About as odd as the tiger... or maybe not.

When the collar hit the floor, she smiled warmly at watching the tiger shaking out its silky fluffy fur. Her smile remained until she seen the strong change and bone altering shifting in its body. Her face paled as she pressed her back up against the sink when the tiger turned into a man.

Arza didnt even seem phased by this. Her body shook out of confusion and fear while she was surrounded by two large males.

Was she the only one disturbed here? The tiger male seemed so joyous to the situation that he didnt even seem like he cared that he was captured in the first place. Arza stood proudly, unblinking as he went to ask the questions of curiosity.

Cora seen Arza's golden eyes look to her as she couldnt stop staring at either of them. Her already cool complexion far whiter than previously.

"What the hell just happened! How are you not freaking out!" Cora cried out as she rushed over to Arza feeling like he might be her safest chance right now. The idea that the tiger was a man was startling and confusing. Arza was at least normal from what she could tell. Her hands reached out instinctively as they curled fist full of his shirt as she pressed herself fearsomely to his back. His red scarf draping before her face. "Arza what is going on? Why is the tiger a man now?" she peeked around the strong satyr as she shuddered again.

"Are you a demon?" she questioned Zyrio as he seemed rather jovial. "Actually i dont want to know, i dont believe in gods and ancients and magic and yet... yet..." Cora pressed a hand to her forehead. "I am so confused. I died at the festival didnt I, this is a vision that i am having as i am dying isn't it? There is no way that he was a tiger then a man." she had no idea about shifters living in the neo plains, it was practically unheard of. As far as she was concerned Zyrio was something from the darker reaches of hell.

"Arza I am afraid." she willingly admitted. That was a rare feat for her to ever admit but there was something wrong here. She didnt understand and the greatest fear was misunderstanding.

Zyrio would be made curious by the lack of Arza's lack of reaction, because although he knew the man had suspected something was different about him, he doubted that he would have guessed the full truth. But that wouldn't be the most of his concerns as his eyes followed the panicking woman as she'd go and hid herself behind behind Arza. His expression went soft as he he gazed at her, feeling bad for scaring her.

"No, no, I'm no demon I promise. I'm what's called a Moon Shifter," He lifted his hands palms turned outwards towards them as he stayed where he stood so as not to scare Cora further. "I'm sorry to scare you ma'am. I would've told you if I could've, but I can't speak when I'm a full tiger." His striped ears twitched lightly, as they lowered when he'd apologize to her sincerely.

At Arza's statement of his name sounding foreign, he'd nod his head, as he supposed that his name would sound that way to them. Still not having said anything about why he'd been contained in the form of a large cat, he studied them for a moment before blowing his long unkempt hair out of his face.

"What I wouldn't give for a hair cut right now," Zyrio grumbled brushing back his bangs again before he let out a sigh. Leaning back against the wall he'd lift a slender hand to the square framed glasses perched on his nose to slide them further up. As he did so, a silver crescent moon could be seen on the underside of his wrist. "I suppose you do deserve an explanation, since you both have helped me gain back my full freedom. For the last couple years of my life I've been held prisoner by a woman who I trusted, and who placed that collar around my neck. I'm sure you've heard of a werewolf, well my kind has something in common with them. Like the moon, silver affects us and that collar was made specifically to make it so I had no control over which of my forms I could take. I've been a prisoner up until today when I was finally able to break the chain and take off before she could stop me."

He gave a quick explanation of things without details since they really weren't all that important at the moment, and even now speaking about the betrayal was a painful subject for him. Pain showed in his eyes briefly, before he lifted a hand again, this time rubbing at his neck instinctively. Even though it was off now, it had been in place for so long that it felt a little odd since he'd long ago become used to it's physical weight.

"As for what I'll do now... I'm not sure. I've dreamed of this day, thought about finally being free again but now that I am I have no idea what to do," Zy laughed sheepishly as he dropped his hand, crossing his arms lightly over his chest. "I've no home to go to since I doubt the landlord would've kept it empty for me after being two years late on the rent, and everything I owned has no doubt been sold off by now. Wonder if my bank account is still even open, I could probably rent a motel room for a day or two if my money is still in there."

Humming lightly to himself he considered the options that he could see before him, before he shrugged lightly, turning blue eyes back to the two before him.

"Again I'm sorry for scaring you and ruining the festival. But I am honestly grateful for the risk you guys took on my behalf. I don't have much anymore obviously, but if there's anything I can do to repay you I'd be more then happy to do it," His smooth voice was soft as he apologized again, and expressed his gratitude to them. Still, he stayed where he stood so as to not frighten Cora further, watching them as he fell silent. He was unsure of what to do now, but he'd at least wait to be asked to leave before walking out since he felt he owed them and didn't want to see ungrateful.

Arza had no reason to fear Zyrio, he was certain he could still hold his own as he still had his own secrets hiding beneath his skin. Feeling Cora rush to hide behind him, surprise spread over his face as she seemed to catch him off guard. Giving his head a shake, Arza turned an eye over to the tall man as he explained about him being a shifter.

Arza rubbed a hand to his chin, "Moon shifter? he had heard the name before but that didnt mean he knew much of them. Other than he thought they kept to themselves a lot. "You seem rather domesticated. Correct me if i am wrong, but do you not live within a pack at least within your earlier years." As Zyrio explained about the woman who held him captive, it only raised questions further. "You were a slave then or just some personal pet to a woman who was clearly sick in the head?"

He would listen to Zyrio with utmost intensity, giving him the respect of understanding, especially when he made mention of not sure what he could do now. "Well seeing as you did escape the clutches of your captor, i doubt it would be wise for you to assume she will relent her pursuit after you. So in other words, you will still be in endanger Zyrio." he stated clearly as he took a step away from Cora. "Seeing as we have now become involved with you, i think it might be in all of our best interests to keep working with one another. There is no need for you to be contained to the hell of doing this alone. We may be able to enlighten you with answers to this world that you may have forgotten or lost in the years you were held."

Arza made a slig

Arza made a slight gesture, "Although i think it may be unwise of me to assume miss Cora will be happy to oblige with helping. That is not my place, as i do have my own little quirks i am trying to unravel as well." he needed to find a way to return his former glory. A year being stuck like this was certainly enough.

"So if you wish Zyrio, i do have a place you can dwell within for a bit." he offered sincerely.

Cora blinked in disbelief at the scene as Zyrio spoke so casually, as she could agree he needed a hair cut. But when he called her ma'am she huffed a tight grunt.

Peeking out from behind Arza, she scowled at him. "How old do you think i am! I am not old enough to be a ma'am!" she shook out her hair, "Which brings me to another thing, Arza stop calling me Miss Cora. My name is Corama but i go by Cora. Not ma'am, not lady, not miss, Cora!" she furrowed her brow tightly. She listened to the conversation of the two men as she let her frustrations release as she watched Arza move away from her.

Her eyes softened as she looked over Zyrio. He was some sort of being that shifted his forms, well then how many did he have? she wondered silently to herself.

Though when she heard everything about what happened and she instantly regretted being so harsh. letting out a sigh as she crossed her arms, Cora glanced up to Arza and Zy.

"Arza has a point Zyrio. You won't be safe that easy. Actually for two reason. I am thinking the animal control will still be looking for a tiger and you still possess your ears and tail which anyone smart enough can put two and two together. And if she went through that much trouble to collar you and keep you in your tiger form, then she wont give up that easily."

She combed back her bangs with her nails as she snorted at Arza as he stated he was wrong to assume she would help. "Give me some credit. Its is as you said Arza, we started this together and even if i dont know either of you from a hole in the ground, i cant stand the idea that someone is crazy enough to imprison someone because they could. It is sick." her sapphire eyes locked hard on Zyrio. "If you are honest and you promise you won't try to gnaw on me in whatever form you are in, then i will help you. Lets face it, us three are partners in crime now, even though i dont know what the crime is..."

She listened to Arza offering up a place to stay she hummed a little. "With that would be for you to have a safe place to stay in, but you still will need to pay for things. If you want, i can offer you a job here Zyrio." Cora crossed her arms, "One of my high school kids just quit to go to school down south, so you could have a part time job here. It would be enough to make sure you have some cash to renew your property and maybe give your bank account some funds too." she smiled more sincerely.

She looked to Arza before she let out a huff of a sigh as she placed a hand to her forehead. "i'd never think i would met two odd balls in my life. I know what your deal is now," she pointed to Zy, "But you... you are still a mystery. You arent like any satyr i have seen before." she adjusted to point at Arza. "Plus you both make me feel short." she teased somewhat.

At Arza's askance about his kind living within a pack for their earlier years, Zyrio would lift a brow with a surprised and slightly impressed look on his face. His knowledge certainly was not what he would expect of someone from the main lands.

"You're quite knowledgeable. For tigers it's called a pride, but you have the right idea," His voice held his surprise as he confirmed Arza's words, with a slight nod. "I chose to leave my pride earlier then most for a few different reasons." There'd be a slight sadness that showed in his eyes as he told them a little more about himself, but again leaving out more details. Although when the person who had shackled him in the first place was brought up again, the pain disappeared to be replaced with a spark of anger.

"You could say that I was both, especially since she was able to control my transformations with some spell," Even though he couldn't hide the anger that colored his voice, it was evident that it wasn't directed at either of them.

When Cora spoke, insisting to only be called Cora instead of any other honorific, Zy couldn't help but chuckle at her spirit. As she'd gone from being frightened to forceful so quickly, he figured she forgot her fear, which he was glad for. He truly had no intentions towards harm, just wishing to reclaim his own life and freedom.

"I apologize for any offense Cora," Zy stated with a very slight bow towards her, a bemused smirk floating about his lips. Even though he clearly took the proper things seriously, he had a good natured humor about his behaviours, somehow having managed to hold onto somewhat of a positive outlook.

As the discussion turned towards keeping him safe from his previous captor, Zy paid attention to their words, nodding in agreement. He was surprised at their ready helpfulness, but grateful for it since he knew very well the relentless nature that the woman had.

"Don't worry, I don't underestimate the lengths she'll go to, to try and get me back. I don't assume to know what either of you know about tigers, but my coloring is rare amongst the true beasts and my own kind," He nodded to them again, twitching his ears and tail when Cora mentioned him still possessing them, as he explained the little tidbit. It was relevant in that he knew the pride she had held in the fact she'd been able to obtain such a rarity. "I really can't express how much I appreciate how much you two are doing for me. Thank you Arza, I will gladly stay with you as long as you will have me. And thank you Cora, I can promise you that your tender flesh is safe from being gnawed upon."

After Zy had thanked them both in turn, smirking a little as he playfully promised Cora he wouldn't gnaw on her, he'd finally let a soft smile touch his lips. HIs luck seemed to be turning good, and he was happy to be given such chances. Both ears turned towards Cora again as he was drawn out of his thoughts by her statement about Arza remaining a mystery. Although he chuckled at her teasing comment about their height compared to her own, he fell silent as he turned a questioning gaze towards Arza, wondering if the satyr would answer their curiousity about him.

Arza nodded, “My youth misleads people to assume I am foolhardy and don’t do my research.” He replied dryly to Zyrio making a comment about him seeming to know quite a bit. “I must admit I am honestly curious to see you in the main lands, these lands haven’t had the greatest of reputations for being hospitable to outsiders.” He glanced to Cora as she finished her rant about being called by her name, without a title for hand. She was very preppy young woman. She was quick with her tongue and easy to forget her prior emotions. An admirable trait for one so young. Though foolish at best.

His ears flicked as he listened to Zyrio speak with a heated anger in his voice about the woman who contained him. “So you were some sort of trophy then.” He hummed. He had heard of people like that. Collectors of the strange. He hadn’t really known if Zyrio’s colouring was strange or normal, but with the statement of his rarity it only enhanced his understanding. The woman who collared him, was a collector of a sort as it would seem.

At least he was a smart kid to know what lengths the woman would go to get him back. It would be better for the shifter to dwell around mortals, it might even help him blend in. Plus if he was in the eyes of the public and became a face everyone would remember, then if the woman came looking, he would stand out so much that no one would even bat and eye or remember him. That was one thing he learnt over his year here. The abnormal was a strange thing at first, but even the strange would disappear into the crowd. It was the best sort of camouflage Zyrio could hope for.

Arza gave a nod to Zyrio as he thanked them both for there kindness. “Just because most are cruel in the main lands does not mean everyone is. Even in the flush of the bush you will always find a rose.” He stated.

Though watching Cora pointing to him, Arza shrugged slightly. “No more abnormal than anyone else I assure you Cora.” His tone was even, unwavering not to let either of them know his hidden truth. “But for the height difference, males are generally larger than females. My height relies on no one but my own genes.” He responded.

Looking around the closed bakery, Arza scratched his ear. “With this all settled then, shall we begin to disperse? It wouldn’t be wise to linger with Cora for long.” Arza turned his attention to Zyrio. “I live up town, it is a bit of a walk but it shouldn’t be out of your league Zyrio.”

“Your youth,” Cora giggled slightly at Arza at how he spoke to Zyrio. “You sound like an old man. You don’t talk like a normal young adult.” She shrugged, “Each there own.”

Cora gave a wave of her hand to Zyrio before she narrowed a gaze to him. “Just be careful with that sort of talk Zy. Not many girls like to called ma’am now a days. Liable to get you with a black eye.” She warned casually.

Upon hearing Arza saying that Zyrio was a trophy for the woman that had captured him, she frowned deeply. She could understand the anger that was in Zyrio voice. How ignorant does someone have to be to see someone with a rarity as a trophy. “And how many people think we are animals.” She snorted, “I think she is the animal. I mean I can be just as mean as anyone else, but I value life over personal desires.” She looked to Arza as he stated about people being cruel in the main lands.

As Zyrio spoke about his pelt colour she nodded somewhat, “Ive seen some weird things here in the city. I wasn’t sure if someone painted you or what.” She spoke, “But apparently not. How come you are such an odd ball out in your pride?” she would question feeling like it was a good question to ask.

She laughed at Zyrio trying to affirm her about not gnawing on her tender flesh. “Hey now, I’ve built a pretty firm reputation of being hard skinned here. I mean not as hard as the horns on my head, but close enough.”

Arza shrugged beneath her pointed finger, Cora raised a brow. He certainly had an answer about everything and with a way that didn’t even seemed phased. Did he have emotions other than prim and regal like? “I am not short if that is what you are implying. Five seven is a decent height for a faun. I just didn’t realize giant syndrome was common in satyrs. I don’t even know about shifters, but aren’t most male satyrs stop growing at the five elven height. You are what? Six four?” Cora traced her steps against the floor as she shook her head, ebony hair flicking in the opposite twist. “I still think you are abnormal. You speak like you come from an age from the pass, you are extremely tall,” she gave a flick of her fingers, “Shoes off, lets see if you have hoof toes.” She smirked.

She looked very much like a human, just with the rabbit like tail, horns and the long ears. Fauns and Satyrs had evolved past having the goat lower bodies and hooves, but there were still some elder people that had hoof toes. Just there toes were like pig feet, with there hooves. She was making a point to say that Arza was far older than he led on. Little did she know the truth of it.

Cora looked over to Zyrio as Arza mentioned about dispersing. “Oh sure leave the woman alone to deal with the cops when they come in here.” She looked unamused. “I think after all this shit that has gone down, I think we should go eat a proper meal and relax.” She held her blue eyes to Zyrio’s equal blue ones, “Plus why do I think you are still hungry even after devouring the hunk of ham from the buffet table. You didn’t eat any plastic cutlery as well?” she gave a twist of her wrist, “Come on, I know a nice quaint little place that will take the edge off of everyone. I might need a coffee irish style, but it will be all good. I’ll even pay if you want.” She stopped, “I just figured if we three are going to be working together to protect Zyrio then we might as well get to know each other.”

When Arza stated about his youth misleading people to assume he was foolhardy, Zy would lift a brow to him, finding his wording to be a little bit odd and the fact alone that it wasn't exactly common for most to know as much as he seemed to about a species that kept to themselves for the most part. But he wouldn't say anything about it, just putting that information away into his head for later. Though when he mentioned the main lands not having the greatest reputation for being hospitable, he'd nod and smiled a little.

"The main lands are well known however for the wealth of knowledge that can be found regarding alchemical processes and other interesting resources. It was difficult getting anything good for inventing with on the island I was born on," Zy mentioned one of the reasons that had prompted him to move from the island to the main lands. There were other reasons, but he wasn't ready to talk about them yet.

Hearing Cora's statement as she called the woman who'd imprisoned him an animal, he'd chuckle again lightly as he liked the way she looked at it. The witch would've had a fit to hear someone referring to her as such. And he'd smile a little when she mentioned having thought someone had painted him.

"If you mean my coloring, there's no real way to know. The Maltese gene doesn't seem to follow any sort of pattern, just shows up now and then," He explained, with a shrug as he'd done a little bit of research on it. Not a whole lot, but when he'd gotten old enough he'd wondered himself why he'd been born with such a color when so few others were, that he was the only one as such. It had led to him being picked on a lot in his childhood because of being different.

At Arza's assurance that he was no more abnormal then other's, Zyrio almost snorted, but he would contain his opinion to himself. Although he would listen to Cora's words about how he acted and such, Zy had to agree with her about it. There was just something off about his mannerisms compared to most.

Looking between the two of them as Arza made mention of leaving and going to his place of residence before Cora seemed bothered about the idea, he would wait to see what Arza had to say about going to the restaurant that Cora was speaking about. At the mention though about him still being hungry, Zyrio would blush a little, lifting a hand to rub the back of his neck.

"I certainly wouldn't mind getting some more to eat myself," Speaking up Zy would admit to still being hungry as she guessed. He couldn't help it, the idea of food was more then just a little tempting to him. Definitely glad that she offered to pay, since he didn't have any money yet since he had yet to even see if his bank account still existed. Replacing everything was not going to be easy.

Arza blinked at how open Cora was with him and how she called him old. If only they knew the truth. He couldnt explain the truth of knowing about Zyrio's culture as much as he did, though that wasnt much in truth without seeming either completely crazy or supernatural. Letting them both think of him as they would, he agreed to the idea of going out. Though he was certain that he wasn't going to be sharing information about himself. As far as he was concerned, he was just there to help. He understood Zyrio's plight of being stuck within a form that wasnt favorable at all times, but it wasnt as easy as picking a lock for himself.

Looking over the strange mortals, Arza could only wonder how the three of them ended up together. Though a thought occurred to him.

His golden irises befell Zyrio. "I know this is not my place to ask about your peoples culture but i find myself curious. You stated that you are in a sort of same league as werewolves, does that mean your culture pays tribute to the moon god like they would?" that was a key question for him little did they know the truth why it was important to him.

He would wait for Cora to begin to lead them to the restaurant.

Cora smirked some as Arza seemed a little distraught at her making a comment about him acting older than he was. Again not knowing the truth. But hearing as Zy spoke about how the mid lands were good place for knowledge she looked over him. “What sort of knowledge were you looking into?” she wondered openly.

As Zyrio made mention of his colouring again, she shrugged. “Not like i am much different there Zy. Though your colours are far more beautiful than my own, i just never thought about it back at the festival. I just though theres a tiger, oh we might be in big trouble now.”

She would see how the boys both agreed to going with her to the little cafe, she checked the back door making she had in fact locked it before as she would beckon them to follow her out the front. “We will just walk if you dont mind. It isnt that far from the shop.”

Though her curiosity was sparked at hearing Arza asking Zyrio about his culture and if they worshiped the moon god. She rolled her eyes before looking back to him. “Please dont tell me you believe in that stuff. I hear everyday from my dad about the great reign of Ardeth on this plain and how the legendary white god brought forth the lands of prosperity.” she lifted a finger, “And what makes you think Zyrio's culture follows the main lands. They could have a different moon god instead of Duza.” she giggled slightly to herself. Her eyes carefully watching Arza and Zy.

“So if you are named after the sun god Arza, do you have a brother named after the moon god, Duza?” she smirked, “Sorry i couldnt help myself. My father is a historian so he proceeds to tell me all about the gods and the mortal mother. My two elder sisters are no better, i just find all the stuff about gods and magic utter crap though...” Cora walked them down the street casually, “After seeing Zy going from a tiger to man, i was about ready to believe.” she smiled.

Truthfully the sum of the things that were off about the man before the two mortals had Zyrio's curiousity piqued, and it was hard not to begin asking him a torrent of questions, but having at least enough manners not to pry into something that Arza didn't seem to want to talk about, he kept silent on that subject. His curiousity could get the better of him at times, but he could have patience when he put his mind to it.

"Stuff on alchemy mainly. I'm an alchemist and inventor," His bright eyes went to Cora again when he'd answer her question on what sort of knowledge he'd been looking for. Watching her, he wouldn't be surprised if she scoffed at his search on alchemy, what with her disbelief of magic. While it wasn't magic strictly, it stradled the line between that and science. As he'd spoken about alchemy he'd lifted his left hand to show them the silver crescent moon tattoo on the underside of his wrist. If either of them knew the phases of the moon, they might notice that it resembled the current phase, although that could've just been coincidence.

At having his coloring complimented so, Zy would blush just a bit as he shrugged and looked off to the side.

"Being my colors can help hide in shadows easier then most of my brethren, so I don't hate it. I'd have to say though Cora that you don't give yourself enough credit, your coloring suits you incredibly well," Zy stated his opinion only, but not flirtatiously as to him it was just a fact. Her uniqueness would be something that he personally would find intriguing, and from the way that Arza tended to look to her, he had a feeling the satyr agreed.

At Arza's curiousity, Zy's eyes would go to him with a bit of surprise in his expression. He wondered to himself why it felt like it was important for him to know... Shrugging his shoulders lightly he'd give Arza a light lopsided smile.

"Hey, at least you ask. There's those who'd assume right off the bat," Zyrio laughed as he spoke, "There's some of us who do pay tribute to Duza, there's others who pay tribute to the moon itself. And of course there's some other schools of belief, all depending on what pride you talk to really. Personally, I don't really follow any of them. Not a disbeliever like Cora here, but I'm just not one to worship something indifferent to my existence." He chuckled as he explained the variety of the beliefs of his people, shrugging again when he mentioned his own view on things.

Before they left however, Zyrio would go over to the silver collar that had been around his neck, picking it up and examing that which had been his prison for so long before he'd wrap his fingers about the length of chain that dangled from it. Once he had a good hold on each end, he'd give it a violent jerk, snapping the link that held the chain to the collar. The collar itself would then be flung into the trash before he pocketed the chain silently. He didn't know if they would ask about his actions, but until they did he offered no explanation.

Exiting the shop with two of them, Zy shoved his hands in his pockets as he moved cautiously at first, his eyes scanning the area around them, looking to the faces of passerby as his ears twitched and swivelled about. After a moment, the tension in his shoulders would relax slightly as he became certain that for the moment he was safe. Listening to Cora's words about her family, Zy chuckled lightly at her clear derision for the mythical things even though he didn't share her beliefs about them.

Listening to Zy and Cora speak amongst themselves, he had to agree with the shifter about Cora’s colouring. “It certainly doest make you unique Cora. I have never seen a ebony haired faun before.” He stated openly as he let them continue their conversation.

Though when Zy answered his question he gave a tip of his head. “Sorry I just find it rather interesting to learn about what species of creatures follow what god or goddess or astral aspect. I just was curious to know as you are a shifter and how the werewolves are with the moon itself.

He wouldn’t speak until he watch Zyrio going over to the collar to snap the chain off the collar. “Certainly stronger than you look. Is there a reason you wish to keep the chain?” he couldn’t imagine it had some special meaning to him or that he had good memories from it. He would listen without bais to him about the chain as he would give him a nod to say he understood. Even if he didn’t completely.

He found a smirk to his lips though when Cora stated that she didn’t believe in mythical creatures. If only she knew the truth.

“Your father is a historian? He must know a lot about the gods and such.” It almost would seem he was enthralled with the idea of higher beings. He only was because he needed any information about what he sought and if Cora could enlighten him, then he wanted to know.

Cora blinked at Zy before she bounced her head in response. “Alchemy huh, isn’t that almost like fancy witchcraft? Going to try to make a potion to turn people into frogs?” she joked. “Sorry that I just don’t believe in all that stuff. I mean alchemy is different than magic but it still has the same properties. Unless I see it with my own eyes, I wont be a believer,”

She would turn a deep red as both Zy and Arza commented on her colours. “Oh sure being an albino has just been a barrel of laughs. I think Zy can understand that kids are cruel with teasing. I hate being the odd one out.” She rubbed her cheeks furiously at the heat in them, “But thank you anyways.”

She didn’t have to ask about the chain, as Arza did that for her. She was curious about it but she was beaten to the punch for wondering about it. When Arza and Zy began to talk about religion she droned it out. Her mind would flit in and out of a daze like stance until she found Arza talking to her about her father.

“Yeah a crazy one at that. He has been obsessed about the gods and crap like that since he was a kid, so I am told. My sisters are just like him and I am the odd one out. Its like he expects the gods to return to the earth or something.” Cora combed her bangs back, “Each there own with there beliefs, but it is utter insanity. My dad used to tell me stories as a kid though about the mortal mother of the gods. Ill admit, that I liked. If that actually happened then wow, that woman was either totally lucky or unlucky to be choose by the white god Ardeth. But in my mind, its all hog wash.”

Cora pointed to the cozy looking shop of a café. “Just in there and we can find a seat.” She looked to Zy, “What would you like, I mean there are sandwiches and stuff but nothing overly fancy or raw.” She smiled to him. “Did you ever believe in the gods and such as well or is that just Arza back there? You said you didn’t follow them now but did you ever?” she asked.

Zyrio lifted his brow as he looked to Cora when she'd ask about alchemy being like fancy witchcraft, before he would shake his head. Though he wasn't sure about his belief in deities, he did know that magic and the like was true.

"Alchemy is both magic and science in one. Most would be quite surprised at just how much one is like the other in truth," He told them in answer, although he suspected that Arza already knew that. Showing a light smile to Cora, he shrugged, "It's alright, I can understand wanting to see to believe. If you think about it, you see a form of it everyday Cora. With baking you combine together several ingredients in order to produce a specific result. The sort of alchemy that I use, uses different sorts of ingredients to produce different sorts of results."

He didn't expect her to take his word for it, but would tell her about it so perhaps she could see the similarity. Maybe then it wouldn't be such a large leap for her to believe. When speaking about coloring, he'd notice how red she'd turned before he'd give a playful smirk to Arza. But she was right, he did understand about kids being cruel about those that were different.

"Well although the three of us may be vastly different, we have one big thing in common. We're all oddities, even if Arza here won't tell us exactly how he is," Zyrio pointed out with a grin, combing his fingers through his bangs to push them back from his face again. The fact that they kept falling forward, a constant annoyance for him. Blowing at a few strands that sprang right back, he wrinkled his nose.

When he was asked about the chain, his expression changed from the open good natured humor he seemed to have to something a bit more closed off and brooding as he played with the chain in his pocket for a silent moment. But he decided they deserved to know, or at least Arza did since he'd be staying with him. He had some time left, but he didn't want to wait until last minute to spring the truth on him. Clearing his throat, he averted his gaze as he looked off into the distance.

"I'm not trying to scare either of you, but yeah, there's a good reason to keep this infernal chain. I don't know how much exactly you know about Moon Shifters Arza, but there's also one other thing we hold in common with werewolves. During the full moon, we're forced into taking our moon forms or as some would say, Were forms and we lose our sanity, becoming nothing more then beasts," Zy explained to them with a heavy sigh, still keeping his eyes away from them, fearing that they'd turn him away to know of his change. "There is one way around being forced into our Moon form that I discovered, and that is having enough silver on that it stops the physical transformation. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop the loss of my sanity, but I have one more form that I can take, that is a lot safer for others to be around during that time. And that's the form of a domesticated feline, or just a much smaller version of my tiger form. If I lock this chain around my neck after taking cat form, the worst you might have to deal with is hairballs."

Describing what he'd found out since coming to the main lands, since they hadn't needed to worry about such a thing on the island, he glanced at them to see how they would react to him essentially saying that he was a danger, unless he were to be wearing enough silver to counter the psycial portion.

Listening silently when Arza and Cora started speaking on her father and his passion as well as her sisters, Zyrio simply kept his eyes open as he'd glance around him now and then, making sure that no one was following them. Although when Cora addressed him again, his blue eyes slid back to her as he'd give her a slight smile.

"A sandwich or such should be good. Although I can I prefer not to eat raw meats in humanoid form, and even as a tiger I prefer cooked meats. Much tastier then all that iron raw meats contain," Zy answered with a light shrug again, he wasn't overly picky and as long as he got to eat well he was a happy shifter.

"I might not follow or worship any gods, but I believe they could exist. That's something we have in common, I prefer to see before believing. I believe it's possible, but not to worship or anything. If there are gods out there, I'm sure they have their own concerns enough to keep them busy that they would be indifferent to our lives," Answering Cora he smiled a bit to her before shrugging, "However, magic I'm a firm believer in. I mean, look at what I am."

When they entered the cafe, he'd have waited for the other two to pick a table and go to sit before he would as well.

Arza side glanced Zyrio when he proceeded to call him an oddity. It was much more than that, but it wasnt like he could just say hey listen up here, i am not just abnormal. I am exactly what you both dont seem to believe in.

Instead he knitted his brown lightly before giving a shrug. He wondered how they would feel knowing he was a god and how there mannerism could be taken as offensive. But thankfully he didnt think that so there would be no problem.

Upon hearing the explanation about the silver chain, Arza narrowed an eye. "I have heard about the moon affecting shifters, but i did not know it was a forced upon transformation. I am pleased to know that you are well prepared for this to happen though i do not know if i would appreciate a hairball." his attempt at joking. This.... this with being around others was still new to him. Yes he had been here a year, didnt mean he talked much with others unless he had too. Like general everyday things that required him to speak, he did. But otherwise making friends or even acquaintances was a new game for him.

Though he found them both very curious.

Listening to Cora go on about her father being a crazed nut for the history of the gods, this time he smirked more willingly. So she knew something about the gods and even his own mother. The story of the mortal mother always seemed to be a favorite of the younger females. "You may never know Cora, the gods or even demi deities could be everywhere. It is as Zyrio says, magic is all around us."

Cora wrinkled her nose, “That might be true Zy, but what I do and what you do are too separate things. At least I know if someone ate my baked goods, they wouldn’t turn into something monsterous.” She pointed at him, “But I get your point. Alchemy I can understand and believe far better than anything else.”

She began to laugh at seeing how Arza seemed to bemuse over the fact that Zy called him a fellow oddity. “I bet he is the worst out of us three.” She waged to Zy. “Its okay Arza, all weird folk are accepted here.” She teased.

Though hearing the truth behind why Zyrio took the silver chain, she narrowed her eye on him. “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t gnaw on me? Oh like I can believe that now, if you loose you mind.” She made mention, “Guess we will have to make sure hairballs are the worst of your problem, even if Arza thinks otherwise.”

Pushing open the door to the café, she nodded to Zyrio’s brief talk about him still liking foods cooked. “Surprising since raw meat has more nutrients than cooked.” She spoke softly not wanting people to look at her oddly. As they both made mention about the gods and magic she gave a wave of her hand. “Just because they could be around doesn’t make it anymore believable to me. Though my father is out in the Neo islands right now looking for relics. Apparently a year ago now, there was a rumour of a god returning and his plate has been rumored to be buried in the nine islands somewhere. That is how bad he believes.” She made an order of a drink as she waited for Zyrio to choose something so she could pay. “My father would be rather interested in you too Zyrio. You are different than main landers, he would have a field day with you.”

Zyrio hadn't said what he had with any offense in mind when he spoke of gods in the manner he did. To him, if these gods were so powerful and mighty and the like, what would they care for mortals who's lives must seem like that of an insect in comparison? That certainly would be a question he'd have for Arza had he known that the man was one... after he got over the shock that was.

With Cora's words, he'd nod to her in agreement about what they did being seperate, although he laughed lightly at her statement about someone being turned into something monstrous due to what he made. Although he doubted it'd actually happen, it was an amusing comparison. And at her teasing of Arza he had to laugh as well, watching the serious man to see how he reacted to being teased.

At Arza's attempt at joking, he would chuckle lightly and shrugged his shoulders. There wasn't much he could do about what he did when he lost his mind, which was why he prepared for it the best that he could. Although when Cora would mention gnawing on her, he would give her a bright smirk.

"I'll have you know, that even when I am mindless beast, I do not gnaw on people," Zyrio would tease with his playful grin, "However, I do mean my promise about not harming anyone. It may have been two years since I've had to, but ever since coming to the main lands, I've always taken precautions to make sure I can't hurt anyone." He spoke more seriously when he told them about the precautions he tended to take.

"While that might be true, it really doesn't do much for the taste," Zy chuckled when he replied to her softly spoken words, following along. Listening to her speaking about her father's work, his ears twitched lightly when the door opened behind them. Glancing over his shoulder, he still seemed a bit paranoid though his attention would go back to Arza and Cora when she spoke about her father being interested in him too.

"Oh yay, what I've always wanted, to be the subject of someone's fascination," Zyrio spoke with a dry sarcasm, "I think I've had more then enough of that for one lifetime." He didn't speak with intent to be insulting, but it made him think a little too much of the woman he'd escaped to not dislike it. He'd make his order after that for something decent but inexpensive, a sandwich that looked like it could be decently filling.

Arza decided his comments werent required a moment further as he would watch the pair go about dealing with the cashier and to get their food and drinks.

He would go and get them table close to the windows of the place, as he didnt feel the need to get a drink or food for the time being.

He would wait for them to return to the table. When they came to sit down, Arza glanced over to Zyrio. "Will you continue your education for alchemy since you have returned to normal, or are you creating a plan of action to deal with the woman that had captured you?" he rubbed his neck as he looked over to Cora for a moment, before returning to look at Zyrio. "I thought alchemy was a dying trait in this time period."

Cora laughed openly at his mock enjoyment about being the interesting being her father would want to look over. "Dont worry Zyrio, if you do stick around and you eventually meet my father, i promise i'll fend him back. I can only take so much of him at times."

She watched as Arza didnt bother on getting anything making her wonder if they were making him uncomfortable. He was certainly a stuffy person.

She would pay for there food as she would point to where Arza went.
As she sat down she listened to Arza asking about if Zyrio was going to continue with his studies or go after the woman that had captured him. She unscrewed the cap from her drink as she rolled her eyes. He was certainly a very straight to the point type of guy.

Though when she heard Arza saying that alchemy was a dying trait in this time period, she looked at him.

"This time period. You mean the modern time." She swallowed her juice, "What time period are you from? Arza you are just weird in general but i have never heard anyone referring to this age of technology as a time period." she rolled her eyes, "Man how long have you been hiding under a rock."

she shook her head as she grabbed a napkin from the table, "This is a napkin Arza, it was first used in 1887, a different time period." she tossed it at him, "Do you want me to find some other things to show you that came from other time periods."

Cora sighed some, "Man Zy are you going to be able to live with such an odd ball. I think he is officially weirder than you and me put together."

At having Cora's reassurance that she'd fend her father back if he were to meet him, he'd give her a grateful smile. As easygoing as he was, he doubted that there'd be anytime soon that he'd be willing to be treated as an object of fascination, even if it was well meaning. His eyes turning then to Arza as he noticed him staying silent and went to a table near to the window without food or anything at all. He wondered if something was bothering the man.

Following the two of them over to the table, Zy would take the chair hardest to be seen through the window from, his brilliant hued eyes staring out at any that passed by, until he heard Arza's voice. Catching his questions, Zyrio would take on a thoughtful look as he would put some real thought into his answer. He wasn't entirely sure since he'd not thought about such things too often before now, before he was freed again.

"I definitely want to continue on with my alchemy, it ties in well with my inventing. However, I doubt it'd be wise to focus on any of that until I've come up with something to deal with the witch," Zyrio mused in answer after a moment of contemplation, leaning back in his seat as he'd push his glasses back up the bridge of his nose again. "I wouldn't put it past her to find some way to pop up the moment I even start to feel safe." He grimaced as he spoke, before picking up the sandwich in front of him, taking a large bite out of it. As Cora spoke to Arza about his oddity of speech, he'd continue working on his sandwich, hiding a smirk behind his mess of hair when she'd grabbed a napkin to tease him with.

"Ah, but people's oddities, are what make them interesting. I'm sure Arza will be a delight to live with," Chuckling after he swallowed a mouth full, Zy answered Cora's words about living with the odd man, "Though I have to admit the more I hear, the more curious I am about you Arza. Not that you have to say anything you really don't want to say of course..." Zyrio would tell him he wouldn't pry honestly, but invited him to speak whenever he felt the wish to do so

Arza took the napkin that was tossed at him, and put it aside. It wasn’t something he easily overcame with the way he spoke. This world and his world were different, he’d need a lot longer than a year to really understand it all. “A rock would have been simply Cora, I just have had much experience in the worlds of the libraries. I dared not venture out much past that. If my speech is a bother to you, please allow me to forwardly apologize.” He was sincere to her and Zyrio. Though he didn’t think he was making them stand out.

His ears flicked to Zyrio speaking about wanting to continue his alchemy but knowing better than to do so. The moment he let his guard down would be the best time for the woman to strike. Though the phrase witch caught his ears with much curiosity. Though he didn’t say much to it, at least not yet.

His tail swished behind him through the open space of the chair as he folded his hands into one another as his elbows were propped up on the table. “You may be curious as much as you wish Zyrio, that much does not bother me. I am being forward in my words when I say, that I don’t have anything to hide. I am perfectly as abnormal as the rest of the mortal race.” His golden irises narrowed on the pair, not in a cruel way but in one that was of a inquisitive nature. “If you are enthralled to, you may ask questions but I highly doubt it will ease your perceptive young minds.”

She rolled her eyes at hearing Arza defending himself or at least she thought he was defending himself. Though him offering to apologize made her wrinkle her brow at him. Seriously where did this guy come from? Did he just get dropped off by the mother ship.

She would bat her hand at him telling him to nevermind as she listened to Zyrio talking about his alchemy. “Think you could invent something to make that awful woman pay?” she hadn’t even thought about the meaning of witch much like Arza did. She just thought Zyrio was calling her a terrible witch like person, she had no idea what was what. “Maybe chain her for the next hundred years and see how she likes it. Make it total overkill.” She smirked a little sinisterly.

Hearing his tail swishing around behind him, Cora glanced to him as he address Zy about having nothing to hid and how he was as abnormal as everyone else. Though the word for everyone he used made her raise a brow at him. “Mortal? Are we all mortals?” she raised her hand like she was in school, “I have many questions for you but I doubt you will answer my young mind.” She narrowed her own eye to him. “Seriously how old are you? Were you raised in the old folks home? From what I can tell you aren’t much older than me,” she side glanced Zyrio, “Don’t know about you. You could be a thousand years old, I know nothing concerning of races that weren’t born in the main lands.” She held her smirk, “You sure you are going to have fun with him? Cause I think if I was in your place, I might just be sitting on the couch going derp! Trying to figure everything out about him. I’d prefer my sanity over that.”

Zyrio would catch himself before he gaped at Arza, just blinking at him from behind his glasses. The more that the satyr spoke, the more it sounded like just speaking casually was beyond his experiences. He didn't know what it was, but something told him that what Arza was saying had more to it then what seemed evident. His ears twitching lightly, he'd tilt them back a moment before relaxing slightly.

At hearing Cora's question about inventing something to make herpay, Zyrio would look to her with a slight smirk.

"Now, that is an idea I definitely like Cora. I'm not sure if I'll go with chaining her for sure, but it's somewhere to start from," Zy let a dark smirk to sit on his lips for a short moment as he thought about how satisfying it would be to achieve revenge on her for taking away two years of his life and the pain she'd inflicted on him over all that time. "She has strong defenses, so it will take a lot more power then what I've ever used so far. But maybe, if I can get my hands on some those tomes..." As he continued talking about the defenses that the woman had, his voice had lowered as he seemed to be muttering to himself, musing out loud. Finishing off his sandwich, he lightly brushed his palms together to brush any crumbs off.

Arza's following words would make him raise his brows at him. At first he'd just thought that the large satyr was a formal sort of person due to his speech patterns but considering the words that he used, his quick mind couldn't help but suspect there was something more. His instincts weren't letting him just brush if off all coincidence.

"I'm only 22," Zy chuckled when she'd spoken about not knowing about races not from the main land. Turning his eyes back to Arza then, he studied the golden eyed man, before giving a light shrug. "Us oddities have to stick together." He replied with a playful smile to them both.

Arza listened attentively as they spoke the banter between them, him trying to listen for more meaning behind the words of Zyrio more than anything else. It was for certain, this shifter was a curious young beast.

Hearing how he like Cora's idea of returning the favor to the woman that held his chain, he kept his hands intertwined with one another upon the table top. "Strong defenses, what sort of woman are we talking about here? And what tomes are we seeking? I am beginning to wonder if this woman is something more than she seems. I can understand a strong barrier of protection from outsiders, but i get this feeling that isnt all she would need them for."

He would state clearly to Zyrio, his eyes taking in the actions of the young shifter casually.

After listening to Zyrio state his age, Arza turned his attention to Cora as she continued to probe at him. "I don't see how age has anything to do with me and how i act but if it will ease your mind." Arza leaned back slightly, "Twenty six," he spoke with ease. They just needed to add a couple thousand years on that and then his age would have been true, but again that was something he couldnt just go out announcing. One, he knew that Cora wouldnt believe him and two, he didnt one hundred percent trust the two yet. "While i understand the limits of age can have, i dont think it is a wise assumption to believe that what i know comes from me living in as you put it, an old folks home." he heard Zy speak about them oddities needing to stick together.

"Is a valid reason to stick together. There is strength in numbers."

Cora gave Arza a strange look of indifference. What did it matter about this woman having defenses or not. The way he was talking it was almost seeming like Zyrio had been captured by a war monger instead of some stupid collector type woman.

She tapped her fingers against the table, "Do you always over think everything? Okay this woman is stupid and dangerous but the way you are talking, its as if Zy was taken captive by a power hungry war monger. And if that was the case, i doubt Zy would have gotten away." she shrugged to the shifter, "Sorry but just stating the truth." she apologized to Zy.

she looked at Zy as he stated his age, "You dont look like your twenty two, id say twenty five at least." she side glanced Arza, "You may sorta look in your twenties but i think you talk like a seventy year old man. I mean can you even speak without sounding like you belong in the late nineteen hundreds." she sighed some what before she waved her hand. "At least for once i am not the youngest in the group. Though i am only a year older than you Zy." she looked around the cafe as she pushed herself up from her chair. "While this has been great fun, i am guna ditch you pair and go home. Here," she grabbed the napkin as she pulled the pen out from her pocket as she scribbled across it. "Here, if you need to get a hold of me this is my cell phone and my work number." she handed it to Zy. "i'll trust you because i dont know if grandpa here will know what a phone is."

Zy looked to Arza when he was questioned about the witch, giving a short nod of his head to show that Arza's thoughts were correct when he stated that she is more then what she seemed.

"I've only actually ever seen one of them, but amongst alchemists theres a set of tomes out there known to contain formulas that maximize the amount of power used, and can even create more power as well. Although that's just the tip of the rumors and myths about them," Zy leaned forward as he spoke about the tomes, lowering his voice as he didn't want anyone overhearing what he was talking about. In the alchemic community, it was sort of taboo to share the information about the books with outsiders, but if they were going to help he didn't see why he wouldn't tell Arza and Cora. "Some say they were written by a god, others by an alchemist who was friends of a god, and yet others who just say he was an incredible genius. Apparently he's the only one who figured out how to create gold from lead too. I don't know what is true amongst all the rumors, but from the little I did get to see from the one I got a glimpse at, there is good reason for all the rumors."

After talking about the tomes, he would have gone on to speak about the witch and the like in order to tell Arza more about it, since he seemed to be taking things seriously of course, but that would be when Cora had spoken, making him snap his mouth shut. At her words, Zyrio would simply shrug as he'd give her a small smile, not taking offense to what she said. He had the feeling that if he went on, she'd be reconsidering her job offer and so wouldn't say anymore in front of her about that sort of thing. At least for the time being. So, adjusting his glasses, he sat back in his seat as the conversation turned to age.

"Not surprising, I've always looked a little older then my age," Zyrio stated with a chuckle and shrug. Listening then to the rest of what was said he'd laugh lightly when Cora stated she wasn't the youngest in a group for once. He could understand that feeling since he usually was as well, partly due to his appearance and how intelligent he was. Commonly among his intellectual peers he was usually at least 5 years younger then the majority.

At having the napkin handed to him, it would bring him back from his thoughts, as he'd been wondering which of those that he had once known he'd be able to contact again. Looking up to her as he'd accept it with a light chuckle at her words he would nod in acknowledgement of her words.

"Alright. Thank you for the food Cora, and everything else. When should I show up for my first shift?" He thanked her for having paid for his meal and everything else she had done so far for him, before he would ask her about when she wanted him to show up for his first work shift, hoping that she still wanted to employ him. If he was going to want to start on his alchemy again, he was definitely going to need money coming in. Neatly folding the napkin he'd slide it into the same pocket that a golden chain could be seen hanging from, attached to a belt loop on his jeans.
